A few years ago, I made a trip out to the OC Joey's Smokin Barbeque to meet my favorite Laker of all time Luke Walton. The Waltons are co-owners of the San Diego native franchise. The food was great and Luke was another class-act. I had him sign a Spalding basketball. I arrived about an hour early and was surprised to find out I was the first one there. I know Luke wasn't the most productive Laker, but he was still a Laker. It's sad to see the way his career turned out. He has battle injury after injury. I wish him the best. I still rooted for hime last year in Cleveland.
